Elders of Baha’u’llah are commissioned to institute the second pillar of the “World Order of Baha’u’llah” called the “Universal House of Guardianship”. As all the Baha’is know, in 1963 with help of the “Hands of the Cause of God” the Universal House of Justice was elected by Baha’is of the world. Now is the time approaching for the election of the 5 Baha’is of female gender to become the members of the Universal House of Guardianship to fulfill the wish of Shoghi Effendi, the infallible Guardian of the Faith of God. Strictly speaking, Elders are not guardians of the Faith of God, but they are endowed with the power of interpretation of the holy writings and as Shoghi Effendi states, they remain infinitely inferior to station of Abdu’l-Baha.
